You know about this? http://aliro.org . Is a project started by one of the main developers of Mambo. Is written in PHP5 and is object oriented. Take a look at his features.

hehe i love testing new cms,
downloaded, will install later at nite,

Joomla 1.03-5 are my favorite version of Joomla.
the new one 1.5.5 is to slow to my flavore,

i have snews cms v.1.6 running as a joomla component,
maybe i will publish it some day :)

oooo yeah,
The Hobbit and The Lord oF The Ring,
Best ever, books and movie.

the snewscms component also uses the Joomla user Access level to let register users have own category where they can add edit delete articles :)

only admin in Joomla has access to snews admin functions.

also, while installing the snews component within Joomla, the script install snews and make the DB tables :)

still have some finnish up to do in the scripts.
